WELCOME TO THE CROWSNEST PASS!

This area is a year round Mecca for diverse outdoor activities including biking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, climbing, fishing, golfing, hiking, hunting, riding, rodeo, swimming, tennis, windsurfing, curling, downhill and cross-country skiing, ice fishing, ice climbing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.  The Crowsnest Pass is constantly evolving and proving to be an excellent place to live work and play.  There is a rich heritage here to explore from a legacy left from a Coal Mining community.  A rejuvenation within the town seems to be taking place with much hype in regards to Real Estate, and Resort Developements.  With consistent comparisons to Canmore 15-20 years ago, we are at an exciting time here in the Pass and the future has never been brighter.

Area Overview

The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass was established by the amalgamation of five communities in the Crowsnest Valley - Bellevue, Hillcrest, Frank, Blairmore and Coleman in January 1, 1979.  Located in the southwest corner of Alberta Canada, along Highway #3 on the East Side of the Continental Divide in the Canadian Rocky Mountains . The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass is 269 km [167 miles] southwest of Calgary and 144 km [89 miles] west of Lethbridge.
